I don't mind debating a point when all parties can respect one another's opinions, even if we end up just agreeing to disagree. But this kind of vicious sniping and insulting the actors themselves is just beyond the pale.
These so-called "fans" should be ashamed of themselves.
The comment area is like watching a train wreck (although, the person who posted about Jensen's pouty growling did make me laugh). Is this what Kripke wanted when he said fans would be divided? He created a war using bad storytelling as a weapon as far as I'm concerned.
I hate that I'm not a quitter. I feel a desire to see this show through to the end and I can't explain why. |

Reply with quote | #1637 | OMG...I HATE this kind of thing. NOTHING in this fandom makes me angrier than when they sink so low as to insult the actors, who don't deserve that kind of crap in any way, shape, or form.
Have I EVER mentioned how incredibly glad I am that the boys - particularly Jared since he always seems to get the brunt of this venomous behavior - don't read stuff on the internet? Precisely b/c of this kind of thing.
I'd personally like to slap those who are calling Jared a terrible actor - obviously they're watching a different show than everyone else is and yes, you can only give as much as you're given and what little Jared does get a lot of times, he completely knocks out of the park EVERY time. But I'm also appalled to hear that it's coming from the opposite side of the fence now, too, b/c that's no less wrong and shameful. Do these so-called fans on both sides really think that Jared and Jensen are this hateful with each other as they are with each other, would appreciate them putting the other actor down to build up their favorite? I think not. 'Cause last time I checked, Jared and Jensen were best friends, practically like brothers themselves, full of respect and caring for one another. All these ppl need to SHUT UP. NOW. More and more I'm sure we're coming off to the outside entertainment world as a fandom full of screechy, hateful witches.
And for the record? I thought Jared did an AMAZING job with what little he was given last night. His facial expressions and especially those EYES when he had his confrontation with Lucifer spoke volumes, those tears in them? He looked simultaneously brave and fearful, strong and vulnerable, angry and devastated, and grown-up and painfully young...all these opposite emotions in just a few silent, wide-eyed looks...and I don't know how he did it. Those idiots in the comment section either constantly watch his scenes blinded by their bias, or just look for something to spit blood about at every turn. What pathetic losers.

Reply with quote | #1639 | When reading those comments in which people get personal with the actors (both of them) I always feel like they are trying to "charm their way into the respective other actor's pants", like if I insult Jared/Jensen then surely the other one must love me because I think they are better than the other. That is stupid, disrespectful nonsense, everybody who knows something about both actors just KNOWS they would be horrified for the other one if they read that stuff about the other. Never in a million years would I say something that bad about Jensen, even if I thought his acting was off in an episode or if I didn't like it at all, NEVER! Whoever writes something like that should not be calling themselves "fans" of the show and I am happy that (hopefully) neither of the Js is aware of this stupid "war". This part of the fandom really just su***. Big time. __________________

Do you have a link to where ever it was you read this info from the breakfast? I haven't read the report only seen the video. Here is the link to download it. It's the Breakfast video: http://agt-spooky.livejournal.com/553761.html All her videos are in excellent quality.
I love it what Jensen said about Jared's perfomance. __________________ Padaleckiana.

Aww, thanks! But all the credit really goes to Jared...it was all his work, after all! I just described it as best I could. LOL. You're welcome for the description though, hee.

Absolutely. I was was drawn to the show because of BOTH brothers and the interactions between them. BOTH actors are awesome, and constantly wow me with their skills, often turning the worst-written and plotted crap into something that still draws me in because of the way they BOTH act it out.
The show is failing now mostly because the writers have forgotten that it's not about holy-wars, or even about monsters... It's about two brothers and about family.
I don't know if EK meant for this to happen or not, but I'm beginning to think the fandom must look a lot like the SN writing room... with the overly-vocal Dean!writers coming up with stupid ideas just to keep Dean as the focal point, and the Sam!writers begging for attention... which leaves no room for just plain, good writing.
I'm disgusted. With the writers, with the fandom, and with EK... they only ones that I'm still proud of are Jared and Jenson, who are both awesome and generous and way too talented.
And both are handsome, besides. __________________ "Our lives are weird, man..."

Reply with quote | #1646 | I know that we're all down and need a little bit of cheering up. We're not jumping for joy over the current storyline and now we have over two months to kill until the next new ep. I thought that maybe we needed a little reminder of just what got us into Supernatural and what we're all fighting for here. Sure that at least some of you have seen this already, but it's well worth reviewing.
I dare anyone to look at this and not have a big cheesey grin on their fact afterwards!
